March 03 Romeo and JulietWent to a ballet performance on Saturday. It was based on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Unexpectedly amazed by the talented actress dancer, the splendid settings, and the glamourous clothing. It was an awesome show, even better than the Don Quixeto I saw last year. I guess I cannot become a critic, coz all my words are pale to describe how I was impressed by the message human body can deliver even if you have no idea of the story (hardly the case for Romeo and Juliet though). There were quite a few solo dances that highlighted the whole show; some of the group dances were also joyful. Though the story is a tragedy, the ballet spent most of its time on the sweet part. I am a comedy searcher in theatre. We've seen or experienced tragedies in our real life; why look for tears in fictitious world as well?
After the show, we took a drive wandering in the city, just to enjoy the sunset after a gloomy day. Finally came to the MIT riverside again, one of my favorite spots in Boston. I've taken so many pictures on the same angle, but each time with different moods and nvr get bored by taking more ;-) Boston always has something new for surprise; maybe surprises live in the eye of the beholder?
